Cute bears. :) In the video, the bear cans also held quite well, despite being kicked around, bitten, and stomped on.

The picture of the bear canister 6' in the air is pretty neat.

Bears are cool. Hm, should we hang our food at Larrabee? Are there bears there? We never have hung it before, and leave way too much stuff out. But have never had a problem yet. It's the yet that concerns me.

Most places will give you a notice if you need to use bear containers. Even back country trails (where i might assume i needed to have bear protection) usually have a notice if they have an idea it might be needed.

I'm fairly sure that a few miles south of Bellingham isnt big bear country, i'm also confident that if it is they'll let us know.

We should put everything into hard containers and/or cars. We weren't very good about that last year and squirrels got into some stuff. Most places, squirrels, birds, rodents, and raccoons are a bigger problem than bears.

If the park itself has non-bear-proof trash cans, it's pretty good evidence that they don't expect bears around.
