Megan Hazen

Last weekend some friends helped Josh and i plant an eight foot tall Magnolia tree (http://www.backyardgardener.com/plantname/pd_fd2e.html) outside our kitchen window, in the side yard. Earlier this week i saw a crested blue jay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanocitta_stelleri) hanging out in it. The bird was incredibly beautiful and brilliant, and its the first time i'd seen one of those in our yard. I love the tree, and i love having a tree outside of my kitchen again. It will be cool if it attracts nice birds.

(I just saw another one outside my window at work, which is what made me think of it.)
