I mentioned before that i'd gotten a fitbit. Well, it seems to have died a rather frustrating death, not traumatic, just failure. I'm rather bummed about it. (And I have written to fitbit about it; i'm hoping they'll pony up with a replacement.)
The fitbit flex, the model I had, is something like a glorified pedometer. My data craving self actually would like something more complete. However, the price point and ease of use makes it a reasonable choice. And, i did find that it was motivating to me to stay on track and keep moving even if i didn't have a formal workout in my day. For example, before it crapped out on our recent cruise it was fun to run an extra flight of stairs or something to make my daily goal.
On a positive fitness note, I have been having a good time biking to work.
