Jan. 21st, 2003 12:31 pmMy ( weekend ) was good.
Today I am at work with the following goals:
1) make some progress on my WORK project. would be nice to finish it.
2) print out documents for school.
I was really feeling overwhelmed last week. This is bad because I am unhappy when I am that overwhelmed. Also, I am a bitch, which is not something I strive to be. My biggest goal for the rest of the quarter is to keep far enough ahead so that I do not feel so overwhelmed again.
Part of feeling overwhelmed is that there are so many things I want to do, and I want to do them all now!
I've been thinking about friends recently. I had nice talks with my friends Mark, Shelly, and Rain last week. It makes me happy to know people with whom I can discuss serious/philosophical issues, and also just shoot the breeze. These people live in Pgh, Boston, and Calif. respectively. I also feel somewhat lucky that i have GOOD friends spread over the whole world. I also got to friend two more people this week, which I'm happy about. I've been remiss commenting to some people (Laurel, for example) whose journals i'm very glad to be reading, because I feel lucky to have friends like that. We are limited in how often we can hang out with friends here only by the amount of time we have, not by the availability of friends. I wish that I could spend time with the people that I like more often than i do. I feel blessed for that, too.
