First of all, since I was offline all weekend and missed the rush
Congratulations guys! I'm very happy for you, and i hope you have a wonderful summer planning your wedding and things. I like your new picture, Deanna, it is very cute. And, the ring looks very beautiful. Anyway, congrats!!!

Second of all, I'm really excited about seeing Deanna this weekend. It will be the highlight of my week. =)

Third of all, we had a party yesterday, to celebrate our wedding. We got a new

Actually, Josh's mom came over for Friday night and Saturday. She stayed with us this time (instead of in a hotel), which was cool. On Saturday morning we had a brand new Kenmore stove delivered. It has gas burners, and an electric convection oven, and is very shiny. It is cool. It is a much appreciated replacement for the old stove. Josh's sister got it for us for our wedding.

(I think, btw, that this is very extravagant for a wedding present. However, i do appreciate her generosity.)

On Saturday we also bought a movable butchers block table to replace the counter that used to be next to the stove. (The new stove is a different size, so we needed a different sized counter.)

On Sunday we really did have a barbecue to celebrate our wedding. It was cool, and lots of people showed up. I am afraid, as usual, that my hostessing skills are subpar. But, i did get to see some people i don't usually see, and i made my office mate Andy, and his fiance Adrienne, come over. Josh's co-workers brought us our wedding present from the group of them - a fisher price toddlers stove. (And a gift certificate to home depot...) It was sort of amusing. It was also useful since we had, at one point, four kids under the age of four in our backyard. And we're short on kids toys.

And, so, that was my weekend. Not bad at all. Now i have to try and focus on work. I'm going to work on writing up results this week. It needs to be done, but i think i may have a hard time concentrating. I think i may need a real vacation from work one of these days.

Josh has an interview today, and i hope it goes well for him. One of the jobs is game-programming. =)

New household equipment is cool. :)

Where's Josh interviewing? [livejournal.com profile] ezzie00 is still looking for a job, and he'd love to get into game design somehow. Good luck to Josh on his interview today!

Especially when the house hold equipment is so very nice. =)

Josh is actually interviewing with a headhunter, who has a few different jobs that might be right for Josh. He only knows the job descriptions of those jobs, though, not who they're for. And i forget the headhunters name. =(

I know a lot of people looking for work right now. This is about the most positive response i've seen. I don't think any of them have gotten interviews with a real company - just head hunters so far.

I hope it goes well for him too. Something job-related has to go right soon!
