I still do crafts occasionally, just not in the quantity i'd like. I did, however, manage to finish one project this winter - this little kimono style sweater for Madeleine. She has even gotten to wear it once or twice before she grows out of it.
I still wish i were better at matching yarns to projects - this yarn is almost too bulky for the pattern, and some of the proportions are a bit wonky.

During last month's tulip ride Eli and I stopped to watch these wonderful kites. The six on the left were controlled by a team of people, and were flown in complicated formations. They had some choreography working, and the kites would make sharp turns in unison, or follow each other around. I've never seen anything like it before, and it was really very cool.

All the kites around were fascinating. They seemed to be flying well, soaring in the air. It was a special treat on a special day.
