Aug. 21st, 2002 02:36 pmI don't listen to very much loud punk rock anymore. Sometimes i put in something that fits the bill, but not so frequently. Also, it doesn't, as often, grab my soul. Frankly, this makes me a bit sad. I liked it when i was all hard-core, and punk rock, and knew stuff about music.
Not to say i'm not listening to good music these days. There are a number of bands that i think are incredible.
I do think my tastes have mutated a bit - i'm being drawn to slowery, more poppy, sometimes more complex music right now.
I miss the Pgh music scene, though. I miss WRCT as well. It was much easier for me to keep up with new bands, and new songs. It was also much easier for me to be involved, no matter how peripherally, in the music scene. Today I am mostly relying on Josh, which i think is less than ideal. I just haven't found a way to stand on my own two feet in this area.
Sigh.
I am really apathetic today. I don't really want to be at work. Of course, i don't really know what else i want to be doing, either. I had a long talk at lunch with a co-worker about 5/10 year plans. I feel like mine is not entirely satisfactory, and is also still quite up in the air. blah.
We got our new washer, but it was not the entire problem. We had to get a plumber to come today. (I have not yet heard whether he was able to fix the problem.)
Oh well, back to the grind.
