Envy seems particularly toxic to me because it tries to negate all that is right with my world - and there is a LOT right with my world. I'm probably the luckiest girl on earth.

It also seems toxic because it is hard to be both envious and purely happy for the object of your envy. I'm not in a position to volunteer in the manner you speak of at the moment, but i am in a position to focus on how deeply happy when someone around me finds joy, too.
