First, and
Wednesday:
Went to the gym with Heidi and then to Dinner with Eli, Kim & Josh, and then bowling with Eli & Josh.
We had dinner at Kabul, which is an afghani restaraunt on 45th. The food was really yummy, and the atmosphere was pleasant, if a tiny bit loud. The food was sort of a cross between Indian and Greek. It had a lot of garlic, which had my stomach in knots the next day, but was still definitely worth it.
I had an average of about 122 at bowling. This was a step up from the Sunday before. I am very glad. I bowling 4 gutter balls all night: My first two balls, and then the frame that i bowled for Josh. He must love me a lot, since he forgave me.
Thursday: Swimming was good, again. Bill (Josh's best friend from highschool) showed up with cookies (which we forgot to thank Katje for = THANKS!).
Friday: I was in a pretty antsy mood when i got home from work. Finally, a run worked it out of me. It was pouring rain, but i had a good run. I enjoyed being out in the rain.
Eventually we talked Justin, Colleen, and Heidi into coming over. H,C,&I watch The Wedding Banquet, while J,J,&B played a game.
Saturday: This was the LoTR day. In the afternoon i went Christmas shopping with Miranda. I had a very pleasant time with her. I only bought paper and cards, but i got more ideas.
I think our gathering in the evening went well. We had good food, and everyone was friendly, and the movie kicks butt.
We have a new surround sound system which is very cool. It really adds to the effect of the movie. The speakers are better than the ones in the TV, too, which makes even normal viewing a bit better.
If i think about it too much I have quite mixed feelings about being a consumer and stuff, but... maybe i won't think about it too much.
Sunday:
Had to drop Bill off at the airport, which was too bad. Then Josh and I ran some errands down town - we actually bought some presents on this round. I had a pleasant afternoon laying around with Josh.
Then, in the evening, we finished our role playing campaign.
I think it ended well, even if i didn't die, as i was expecting to. I'm glad its wrapped up, not because it wasn't fun, but because we haven't been playing regularly, so it was dragging a bit.
Its funny. If you asked me what i'd been up to, i'd probably say 'Not Much', but, clearly, i've been doing a lot of things. I enjoy them, and i'm glad that we're active. I think thats the way life should be. I'd rather be busy than bored.
